I always find it amazing, how my elder 2 despite being twins but they have totally 2 different personality. but then again, they are not identical twins thus i shouldnt expect them to be alike. Looking at them, it reminds me of the oldest isuue in pyschology; the debate of nature versus nurture. The debate argues on two different believe. Some philosophers suggested that certain things are inborn, or that they simply occur naturally regardless of environmental influences (nature). However, on the other hand, few philosophers believed in what is known as tabula rosa, which suggests that the mind begins as a blank slate. According to this notion, everything that we are and all of our knowledge is determined by our experience (nurture).

hArith and athirAh are both exposed to the same environment but somehow rather…hArith has always been the helpful and hardworking while athirAh have different interest. So i guess that’s pretty much is their nature not nurture. Then again, i remembered that back in uni years we concluded that there’s no point of arguing between nature and nurture but we could merge them together. For example, since hArith shown his great interest in doing chores (nature) we should then encourage him more and provide such environment where he can be helpful (nurture) and of coz as for athirAh i should expose her to more situation to build such character for her to be helpful too.

Nway, pass two days they haven’t been attending school since they have running nose. Yesterday they were busy playing in the garden, and usually athirAh will be everywhere climbing here and there while hArith will to more details things like observing the stone, comparing the small and big stone and such. I decided to get them to water the plant since this is one of their activities in school.

Brought out a pail of water with two watering can. Wow, to my surprise athirAh really did water the plant seriously. She was very focus with it. I would have thought she’ll ended up playing with the water…but oh no i was wrong.

She was really doing it full of concentration. Going from one plant to another, filling up her watering can and continue watering the plant. It was my first time seeing her doing chores seriously. Fuh, finally i discover something that she doesn’t mind helping =). hArith of coz has no problem watering the plant.n
