Toddlers' Crafty | Kids in Charge

It all started with patato stamping. syauQi keja that night so he need to get some sleep petang tu, thus i got him to cut the patato in few shapes so i can keep the kids occupied to avoid them from interrupting his sleep…

So yes it all started with patato stamping

and then it move on to foot stamping

their smiles n giggles were priceless, they find it rather ticklish getting their foot in the paint…

and went they wanted to walk on the paper to do their foot printing, they almost loose their balance, it was rather slippery…they took turn to see who managed to get their foot print done without any fall. I couldnt take much photo of it coz was monitoring them, afraid they fall head first.

After penat gelak tegolek bagai, they played with the paint again, he is one happy boy having the freedom to make a total mess with the paint

and my gal was busy making her own mess as well

She even got her face painted and painted hArith back…which later hArith baring on the paper for body stamping. Managed to get only one photo of the body stamping as i was monitoring them as well…

Tgh gelak besar….

And the end result…

not much of uZAir’s photo doing painting though as he is not that interested, he loves his “private beach” (read: sandpit). He spend most of his outdoors activities in the sandpit regardless hot or not. Sunbathing perhaps?

and with all the mess, of coz they wont allow to walk in, they had their shower outside…lotsa body wash needed though…haha

Hmm.. at times i feel that i have 3 boys instead of 2 boys and a gal.

This is her current obsession, wearing her brother’s swimming pants with no top. Does she look like a surfer, beachboy?

She will take the pants and wear it by herself and happily play outside…

n most of the time she is more boy-ish than her 2 brothers, she will always lead the way to do adventurous stuffs….

but lucky thing her fav colour is pink though 😉

When i was young, i remembered going to Plaster Fun House to do painting on those plaster clay thingy. It was such a treat if whenever we get to go there. The Plaster Fun House in DU is no longer there but i heard they have one in Empire Gallery, haven’t check out the place to see if it’s the same like it used to be.

Anyhow, i managed to get something similar to that for hArith. I bought only one for trial coz wasn’t sure if athirAh would be interested in it as well. I was wrong though, they ended up fighting for it…

I bought this for RM29.90, comes together with the colours and a brush

Ended up syauQi gave athirAh a patato to colour, she was happy coz she associate it with the Mr Patato from Toy Story..hihi.

She was soo excited to show the maid her patato, maid didnt know anything, thought she was asking for help, hence maid wash the patato…abis sume her painting on it, melalak lah anak saya…haha

hArith painted halfway and got distracted by the lawn mower next door…he was more interested to see the gardener at work and told me he wanna continue tomorrow.

The next day, when hArith wanted to continue his painting athirAh found some wooden thing in the house to colour, we allowed her coz we can easily wash the paint off,

after the painting session, he played baseball with syauQi, his hand eye coordination is pretty good for a 3 year old boy. But he prefers to toss the ball in the air himself and then hit it.

Adventurer

My 3 kids are getting a lil adventurous. We been having the swings for about a year plus (we fix it July 2009) but they sat on the blue swing and the tyre most of the time and hardly try the disc swing. Maybe they were not sure how it works. I used to get them to try on it, hold on to their kaki and ask them to cross their legs and kepit it…but they didnt enjoy it i guess until the other day we had a few kids over at my place and played with the disc swing, (kids were older than them) . I guess only then they know the joy of using the disc swing.

And to my surprise, today they did it by themselves

and when hArith got down, suddenly athirAh pulak naik…but she didnt sit on it, instead she diri… i wasn’t prepared mase tu to take photo, thus the angle wasn’t so good

it is not that easy tau to stand on this, tak caya…tanye Yaya, ni percubaan die nk diri on it last year during my kids’ bday party, hihi

and after that the elder two became adventurous, both were on it,

BUT he wont just sit…he also has his own adventurous stunt…

and i guess all kids are the same, they can never see water. tgk muka die bersinar2 dpt main air

the weather was good today, by 330pm it was rather gloomy and kids thought it was already 5pm, time for them to play outside. They insist on playing outside early (345pm they were running about already) and that resulted in early bedtime tonite. By 10pm all 3 asleep! amazing! So do i need to let them out everyday at 345pm instead of 5 then? haha

Outdoor Fun

The easiest and cheapest way to let kids have fun is to let them roam around outdoor. Just give them the space to runaround and they will create all kind of creative fun they can think of. Past few days the weather was being kind to the kids, the sun was behind the cloud rather early (by 430pm) and it didnt rain,simply perfect for the kids. They reliased the weather was nice outside and demanded to play outside early. Usually we play outside after 5pm.
